Funding announced for St. Clair College pre-apprenticeship program

St. Clair College doubles size of pre-apprenticeship precision metal cutting program to meet local demandPosted April 1, 2016

Funding for St. Clair College's pre-apprenticeship program was announced yesterday at CenterLine's Corporate Headquarters on Morton Drive. The Provincial Government is investing  $640,000 to St. Clair College to double the size of its pre-apprenticeship precision metal cutting program to 50 students. The next program begins in May with a second intake in August.

CenterLine is an active partner with the education sector, and employs students from various skilled trades programs. Currently, over 75 apprentices are working full time at CenterLine with many positions still available.

The Provincial funding is a great investment to our community and will allow many opportunities to be given to hard working individuals wanting to enter the skilled trades industry.
