CenterLine: Gold Sponsor of the First Robotics 2015 Windsor-Essex Great Lakes Regional Competition

CenterLine is proud to be a Gold level sponsor for the upcoming First Robotics 2015 Windsor-Essex Great Lakes Regional Competition, being held at the St. Denis Centre on Friday April 3rd, and Saturday April 4th. With over 50 teams attending the event, CenterLine is proud to also individually sponsor two teams: Sandwich Secondary, and Kennedy Collegiate. The competition is an exciting look into the world of critical thinking, team building, and the ability to raise an average of $10,000 - $15,000 that it costs to create the robots.

CenterLine's Sr. Technical and Strategic Advisor Larry Koscielski, and WEGLR chair, is enthusiastic about the event which draws over 1,500 students from across Ontario, Michigan, New York and California. The teams consist of up to 30 members, and a mentor from the industry.

“The competition is essentially starting up a company,” Koscielski said. “You need accountants, business students, graphic artists, web designers and communications people as much as technical design people. The kids realize there’s some pretty neat stuff happening in Windsor and Essex County,” Koscielski added, “as a company, we’re looking at these kids as part of our future.”
