SST provides custom robotic systems for complex or repetitive spraying tasks. Both Cartesian and 6-axis robot models are available.

These systems provide consistent and repeatable programmable motion at an affordable price and are ideally suited for mass production needs.

Following are some example of system configurations that have been supplied to customers for their specific applications. Please note that any system can be customized to suit your specific equipment standards and production requirements.

Cartesian Robot with Down Draft Table 

This system configuration includes: 

• 80 cm x 40 cm x 40 cm (31 in x 15 in x 15 in) 3-Axis Cartesian Robot * with an accuracy of -/+ 0.01mm (0.0004 in)
• 75 cm deep x 120 cm wide x 45 cm high (30 in x 48 in x 18 in) work area
• SST Automatic Spray Gun (6mm nozzle, 3.8 kW heater)
• Low-pressure powder feeding system
• Computer interface
• Power supply and control unit with graphical HMI
• Air preparation equipment
• 10HP downdraft water filtration dust collection system
• Guarding and door interlock
• Teach pendant

6-Axis Robot Cell with Down Draft Table

A standard 6-Axis robot cell provides the capability to spray complex substrates. These systems are fully integrated, so you can simply position this cell at the work site and begin spraying.

• 6-Axis Robot (6 kg minimum) to suit customer specifications
• Optional 7th-Axis integrated motion for additional part manipulation / rotation capabilities
• 90 cm deep x 180 cm wide x 60 cm high (36 in x 72 in x 24 in high) work area
• Automatic Spray Gun, 6mm nozzle, 3.8 kW heater
• Low-pressure powder feeding system
• Power supply and control unit with graphical HMI

Integrated Robot and manual Spray Systems

Combination cabinet and portable system configuration complete with ventilation units can be custom designed to satisfy a large range of Cold Spray applications. These systems can provide total flexibility for applying cold spray to an assortment of parts and under diverse spray specifications.
